because he looks like a medium size parrot, however he is the largest in the parakeet family). He is mostly green, with a touch of yellow mixed in. He has a red with some blue ring around his neck and a red beak.

On June 5th, 6th, and 7th, my daughter and I attended a cockatiel show in Amhurst New Hampshire. The last day of the show, when transfering the bird from show box to cage, it got loose and flew off. He is still
a baby [under 10 weeks]and is just weaned. He is sweet and cuddly and usually comes when called. He is all grey with a white "star" on his forhead. If he is indeed a male, as we believe, his face mask will
eventually turn pure white, when he goes through his first molt. He is banded [a silver band, number NCS 13W 01 09] and is sorely missed by his human mommy [my 9 year old daughter, Karen]. I live in

outside...he likes to sit with us out there and watch the birds in our bird feeders as we have coffee ... and my husband accidentally left the cage door slightly open. When he came back in to grab our drinks...he
saw Antonio push openthe door and fly off after a red cardinal. This was at 6pm Tues night 6/16/09 on Ocean Park Ave. We handed out flyers all over, two people spotted him 3 blocks south on Brinley Ave, 3
days later in their backyard but he would not go to them and flew off again.he flew another block south when startled over on fifth ave. We miss him and I am extremely worried about him. I cannot go
anywhere in the house without him following me and he has become my "baby" in addition to my other kids. He follows commands like come, stay, up, down, off, yes, no, make a sound similar to "hel-lo",
and whistles "whoo-hoo". I did not want to clip his wings because I felt that takes away what a bird was created to do and I read flying was good psychologically for them. Now I regret my decision. Please help

Please help! At about 5:30 PM on November 26, my Brown-Throated Conure named Emmi somehow flew out my front door. We searched and called her for 3 hours but no sign of her. Shes never flown that far
nor has she been in cold weather. Im not really sure what her reaction would be to being outside. My backyard is fairly large so she could still be in the general area.She may respond to her name, Emmi, or
any nickname; Emmi-Bird, Emmi-Ody, or Ody. She makes a few different sounds and can only say Hello. She may also respond to tounge clicking, woof whistle or just saying hello. Emmi is a very bright
green, with a light brownish yellow color on her chest and has blue flight feathers.She is about 10 inches long, about the size of a cockatil, She also has a leg band on her leg but Iam not sure of the number on it.

color. He says his name, Good Morning, I love you etc. Loverboy is hand breed so he is not a good flyer. The wind stole him at the corners of Academy and Cannon Streets in downtown Poughkeepsie. Because
he is clueless of how to handle wind currents, once the wind has him he is like a rag doll the wind can take him anywhere North, east, south, or west literally anywhere by now. He could be any where by now. I
do know as soon as he was on the ground again, he would have gone to someone who was standing still and climbed onto a foot for help because at home when he wanted to get to my shoulder he would stand
on my foot so he could be lifted up and work his way up to my shoulder. Life is simply not the same without his funny little voice saying Good Morning,I love you,Loverboy when I wake up or when we

My girlfriend is devastated. We recently purchased a sweet, extremely sweet military macaw from a petshop in Flushing, Queens for 1700. But it's not the money, it's how much she adored that thing.
Enough to pay double breeder price, not to mention spoil it rotten. Sadly we hadn't gotten it banded yet, and we barely had it 3 weeks, though it was extremely bonded to my girlfriend before we lost him. I'm not
sure if it was a he, but the petshop did tell us it was. We were at a concert near Buffalo, New York when it seems someone accidentally left the cage open and he flew out of her open window. We've posted fliers all

Looking for male citron cockatoo that was at one time at The Tropics, a parrot refuge in North Carolina. The Tropics re-homed the cockatoo sometime after spring of 2002, but doesn't have records as to when or
where. I suspect, but not positive, that he went to a breeder, but because he was not paired, the original breeder may have made other arrangements for him with another citron breeder. And, of course, he may
have been re-homed in another rescue. He was not banded or chipped, but here are some of his features that may help identify him:- It's very likely that his legs and most of his chest are featherless since he
started picking his feathers at a very young age, ruining the follicles. -Although he talks, his voice is raspy. Some of his phrases include "hi, ocar," "tickle, tickle," "make do-do," (he was trained to do-do
prior to coming out to play), "want cheese," (the 's' comes out like a 't') "come here, come here," "Karen's going bye-bye," "bye-bye, bye-bye," "what's the matter."- He'll be about 18 years old now, so his orange
cheek patch should be darker than those of younger citrons.His name is Oscar, but he may have been renamed, and when I had him, he was friendly (though not to me) and social. karen.hamblett@gmail.com
